Nikki Haley Sits Down for a Town Hall with Fox News

The most exciting part of today was our amazing opportunity to attend the Town Hall with Nikki Haley hosted by Fox News. It was a very cold day as we stood in line for a while, but it was beyond worth it to have such a cool experience. There was some kind of sound glitch right when they started filming, so we got to see a humored side of Nikki Haley as they fixed her mic issue. It was such a cool behind-the-scenes feeling to see the retake process and really understand the level of preparation and rehearsal in repeated questions. Haley had a lot of the same talking points that we saw at the bus tour stop yesterday, so we got to see how she adjusted her points for a Fox audience. I really liked to see how she interacted with people from the city, it was really humanizing. She played a delicate dance of deciding which questions to answer directly, which ones to use as a build-up for her most popular talking points, and which to creatively avoid. I definitely think this was the best part of the day.
