After going to the Aiken County Democratic Party, we attended the Aiken Black History Month Parade. It was so much fun, and it was amazing to see all of the prominent black groups from the community, including local black politicians. To our surprise, two members of our group, Nathan and Steven, got to walk in the parade with the local NAACP. Additionally, some of our students got interviewed by the local news, It was really awesome to see the community to come together and express what was important to them through this event, it really allowed us to get to know the population.
